Session 5 Pouring Vessels - Tuesday Nights 6-8:30pm
Take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level in this intermediate class focused on spouted forms. We’ll explore the design and function of pouring vessels—from teapots and ewers to creamers and pitchers. Through weekly demos and hands-on instruction, students will refine their throwing techniques, practice spout-pulling and trimming, and dive into lid-making and handle attachment. Emphasis will be placed on form, proportion, and the relationship between spout and body. This class is best suited for students who are comfortable centering and throwing basic forms consistently.
The first class will meet on Tuesday, July 29th 6:00-8:30pm and the last class will meet on July 15th
This class includes:
12 LBS of clay and the ability to purchase more
Firing of your pottery in our electric kilns
Glazes and decorating materials
Use of studio tools and equipment
A storage space to keep your work, personal tools and clay on
Access to Open Studio Hours Saturday and Sunday 12pm-4pm
Students will also be given our “artist phone number” to call in and see if they are able to get extra studio time outside of open studio hours.
6 In-person class sessions that will meet weekly on the day and time of your class. Our classes are kept small to allow students to have more one on one time and step by step instruction from our teachers.
