Prerequisite: Comfortable throwing a 2-pound cylinder

In this 6 week class, we'll explore the diverse techniques needed to create a variety of vase shapes. From elegant curves to intricate forms, you'll learn how to plan your approach strategically. Discover the nuances of wheel speed and clay thickness as we guide you through the process of crafting larger pieces.

The first class will meet on Friday, November 6th 6-8:30pm and the last class will meet on Friday, December 18th

**** There will be no classes on thanksgiving week November 23rd - 29th ****

Our curriculum covers essential topics such as collaring, shaping techniques tailored to different forms, and the art of stacking pots to achieve impressive heights or unique shapes like moon jars. We'll also discuss how to work with different clays for optimal results, especially when tackling larger projects.
