Introducing monthly artist windows
We’re excited to launch a new way to spotlight the incredible talent within our studio community: monthly artist windows. Each month, one of our Brick & Mortar artists will take over the entire front window shelf space, transforming it into a mini exhibition. It’s a chance to slow down, look closely, and celebrate the creativity and craft of our members….right from the sidewalk.
For February, we’re thrilled to feature ceramic artist Amanda Shourounis.

Amanda in front her work
Amanda Shourounis is a San Francisco–based ceramic artist whose work feels like a love letter to the natural world. After beginning her career as an art teacher, Amanda made the leap to working with clay full time in 2022. This shift that has allowed her deep curiosity and observation of nature to fully come alive in her practice.
Rooted in an ongoing exploration of plants and animals across varied environments, Amanda’s ceramics are rich with texture and detail. Mushrooms curl and cluster, surfaces ripple and grow, and some pieces even hold their own little ecosystem. Her work reflects a sense of wonder and attentiveness, the kind that comes from really noticing the beauty and complexity that can be found during a simple walk in nature.
In the window, you’ll see a vibrant collection of sculptural vessels and functional forms that showcase Amanda’s distinctive style, which is playful and intricate without feeling too precious. Seeing the pieces together offers a fuller picture of her world-building through clay and invites you to linger a little longer.
You can see more of Amanda’s work on Instagram at @ashourounispottery, or contact her at pottery@shourounis.com. Oh, and we highly recommend stopping by the studio to experience her February artist window in person.
